GATA combines strong core academics with technology-rich instruction.
The Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw provides a full K–8 academic program aligned to Michigan standards. Students receive instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, with technology and project-based learning integrated throughout the school experience.
In English Language Arts, students build reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, comprehension, and research skills through programs such as UFLI Foundations, Bookworms Literacy, and Amplify ELA. In Mathematics, students use Zearn Math to develop fluency, conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and readiness for advanced math.
Science instruction encourages curiosity, investigation, experimentation, engineering, and data analysis through resources such as Mystery Science and STEMscopes. Social Studies helps students understand civics, history, geography, economics, Michigan history, U.S. history, and global perspectives through Social Studies Weekly and TCI Social Studies.
GATA also provides intervention and enrichment blocks, including Reading Quest, Writing Quest, and a Math Fluency & Mastery Block, giving students targeted support or advanced enrichment based on academic performance data.
